Southern Lakes Anthology Writing Contest
Students in participating districts can submit one of three types of writing--poetry, prose, or illustrated writing--for possible inclusion in the Southern Lakes Anthology.
Every spring, Whitewater TAG members select a theme for the following year's anthology. Entry deadlines are set by each school's gifted and talented coordinators. The top 24 submissions from each district are judged at a Whitewater TAG meeting in January.
The entries are scored using a rubric, and the best are chosen to be included in the anthology. The published artists are invited to a recognition ceremony at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the Young Auditorium where they receive a complimentary copy of the anthology.
