GATE Identification Home
The Elkhorn Area School District follows the Department of Public Instruction guidelines for identification, Standard (t). Annually, in the spring of each school year, K-12 teachers are asked to identify students with gifts and talents in the academic, intellectual, leadership, creativity, and visual and performing arts areas. Also considered are nominations from parents, peers, and the child, scores from IQ and standardized tests, authentic performances, outstanding products, and anecdotal records.
